Giannis Antetokounmpo Is Greece’s Ace Up the Sleeve

Led by coach Vassilis Spanoulis, the Greece national team would be a mediocre side if it weren’t for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Don’t get us wrong, his teammates are good players, who’d probably do okay at the EuroBasket, but with Giannis in the mix, the Greeks look capable of winning a medal.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar has been in great shape since coming to Europe, scoring at least 25 points in each game that he’s played so far at the 2025 EuroBasket.

As a reminder, he has played five games so far, and Greece won all of those. The only game that he didn’t play (against Bosnia and Herzegovina), his team lost.
